In June Major Wynn will be transferring to New York to take the position of Executive Officer for the New York area Navy ROTC Units. The Major has been selected for promotion to Lt. Colonel this fall. Major Wynn has given full commitment to the Marines in the Triad both Veteran and those serving today. He has on many occasions been an inspiration to us all. A great leader that we will all miss. He will be bidding us all farewell at the June MCL meeting.

Gunny Thompson will be transferring to a Chicago Unit in June with a promotion to Master Sergeant. Gunny “T” has helped and interacted with the community since his arrival and uses his magic to administer both the I&I Greensboro and the community services that this outstanding unit assist in.

Gunny Crawley has been transferred to Camp Lejuene and for years was the Toys for Tots coordinator along with his many duties at I&I.

Gunny Tall, well he retired last month and continues on as one of the fine citizens of Greensboro as well as a dedicated Marine Corps Veteran.

We owe a special thanks to all of these Marines. They have given the Marine Corps League the best of support and where always their when we needed them.
